Lokayukta Raids Gokak Tahsildar’s Office Over Pension Scam!

गोकाक: सरकारकडून गरीब आणि बेघर लोकांसाठी दिल्या जाणाऱ्या संध्या सुरक्षा आणि वृद्धापकाळ पेंशन योजनांचा गैरवापर होत असल्याच्या आरोपावरून गोकाक तहसीलदारांवर लोकायुक्तांनी छापा टाकला.

गोकाक तहसीलदार कार्यालयात पेंशन वाटप प्रक्रियेत अनियमितता असल्याचा आरोप करण्यात आला होता. एका स्थानिक व्यक्तीने अपात्र लोकांना पेंशन देण्यात आल्याची तक्रार लोकायुक्त कार्यालयात दाखल केली होती.

या तक्रारीच्या अनुषंगाने लोकायुक्त एस. पी. हनुमंतराय यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली 30 जणांच्या पथकाने सकाळीच गोकाक तहसीलदार कार्यालयासह चार अधिकाऱ्यांच्या घरांवर छापा टाकला. यावेळी कागदपत्रांची तपासणी करण्यात आली आहे.
The Lokayukta has raided the Gokak Tahsildar’s office following allegations of misuse in the Sandhya Suraksha and old-age pension schemes meant for the poor and homeless.

A local resident filed a complaint with the Lokayukta office, alleging that ineligible individuals were receiving pensions through corrupt practices in the Tahsildar’s office.

Acting on the complaint, a Lokayukta team led by SP Hanumantaraya conducted an early morning raid with a 30-member team. They inspected documents at the Gokak Tahsildar’s office and also searched the residences of four officials involved.
