Headstart: Bayan Muna Representative Carlos Zarate says it is absurd to conclude that the Makabayan Bloc is a legal front of the communist insurgency movement after the death of a lawmaker's daughter. Jevilyn Cullamat, daughter of Bayan Muna Representative Eufemia Cullamat was serving as a medic to the New People's Army when she was killed in a clash with the military. Zarate criticized what he calls government's obsession to link the progressive bloc to the armed movement because it did not condemn the NPA.
