How to make a template for a custom size Vinyl or Fabric Banner with Grommets

This video explains how to make a custom template in Photoshop before you start designing your custom size vinyl or fabric banner so that you account for bleed space and grommets.

Step 1: Open Photoshop
Step 2: Create canvas size based on the banner you would like
Step 3: Confirm the settings are 125 dpi at full size and in CMYK mode
Step 4: Drag snap guides to indicate the preferred size of the banner before bleed
Step 5: Add bleed by going to Image on the top and selecting Canvas
Step 6: In canvas artboard add total width and height bleed
Step 7: Draw snap guide where the grommets will be inserted
Step 8: Begin designing on your new template but keep template as it's own separate layer
Step 9: Delete template layer when finished designing
Step 10: Save as a High Quality PDF
