Many videos on YouTube look at dust collection ins the small workshop. They mainly focus on installation, or hw to ground to reduce static build up. having recently upgraded the dust collection in the Woodgrafter workshop I wanted to share information about the design, how to size the extractor, the difference between a shop vac and an extractor and how to calculate the loss through the system.

I hope you find this useful, this is the information I wish that I had before purchasing my 1.5HP extractor.
