How to Make A Bandana Pillow | Easy Sewing Project Ideas (+ No Sew Option)

I made a few of these adorable bandana pillows for my sofa and have now many many more for friends. You don't see these in stores, which makes them a great DIY gift that is sure to impress. They are quick and easy to make, too, and you can choose some really cool bandana colors and patterns to your liking. One of my favorite country crafts - plus it has easy sewing tutorials for beginners and no-sew instructions using fabric glue.

Use your sewing machine and follow the how-to or just use fabric glue to get the same look with a no-sew version of this project. All you need are some 20 inch bandanas in the color of your choice (or smaller ones work if you adjust the size of your pillow insert) and a pillow insert or polyfil to stuff your pillows. You also need matching thread if you are sewing or for the no-sew craft, some fabric glue and sewing clips or clothespins. Everything else is shown and explained in the video. I hope you have as much fun making these as I do.

Of course you will want several of these handmade pillows for yourself, but if you are looking for unique DIY gift ideas to make for Christmas presents, birthday gifts or a special housewarming or thank you for a friend, this DIY project should be at the top of your list. These looks super impressive but are budget friendly and quick to make. Why buy when you can DIY? I feel like friends will think of me and be reminded how much I care when they look at the pillows I made.

Also, I haven't tried this, but these bandana pillows are a great craft idea to make and sell. When I was short on cash last year, I was looking for the best crafts to make and sell on Etsy, and my qualifiers were 1) it had to be unique 2) it had to be colorful and photograph well 3) it needed have minimal supply cost 4) I needed to be able to make my Etsy shop products in less than 30 minutes. This sewing project definitely fits the bill, as does the no sew version.
