Don't let your words sabotage your career | Julie Holunga | TEDxCherryCreekWomen
We cannot sustain a positive professional image when we use weak language. Weak language plants seeds of doubt in the minds of others regarding our leadership, authority, and capability. However, when we are deliberate and strategic with our words and our tone, we align our intentions with our impact, becoming professionals of influence and unquestioned authority. In this talk, you will learn 3 tactics to communicate powerfully. Julie Holunga is a leadership trainer and coach developing professionals to lead with authority and influence, with an expertise in the careers of female leaders. Her focus is in the professional services industries, honing skills leaders didn’t previously learn in school. Julie is one of 30 Master Trainers in the world with the Assessment Profile Tool, Emergenetics®.
Before starting her own practice, Julie worked at Harvard Business School on an initiative examining the careers of female alumni. She partnered with leaders at Wall Street firms to advance and retain women into positions of leadership. At The Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College, Julie worked with Fortune 500 corporations to develop and implement corporate citizenship initiatives. She started her career working at Harvard University in the Capital Gifts group, assisting high-net worth alumni impact change. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
