EXPRESSIONS MADE IN CONGO!!!

J’ai décidé de faire une « suite » au Congolese Tag et cette fois, on se focalise sur les expressions du pays de A à Z! 🇨🇬

Pour ceux qui ne le savent pas, le français que l'on parle au Congo Brazzaville est... très coloré. Nous avons énormément de mots et expressions souvent mélangés entre français, kituba et lingala.

Nous avons aussi beaucoup d'interjections, principalement onomatopées, ce qui rend nos conversations très dynamiques et vivantes (pour ne pas dire bruyantes! Haha).

Si vous prévoyez un voyage au Congo, j'espère que cette liste de vocabulaire et expressions populaires vous sera utile.

Today, I would like to share with you some expressions made in Congo Brazzaville!

For those who don't know, the French that is spoken in the Congo is ... very colorful. We have a lot of words and expressions and we often mix French, Kituba and Lingala.

We have a lot of interjections, mostly onomatopoeia, which makes our conversations very dynamic and lively (to avoid saying noisy! Haha).
