From the sunken crypts of Velmora to the shattered towers of Eldrath, his skeletal host marched without rest, sweeping across the land like a plague. The armies of men, elves, and dwarves fell before his tide, their bodies rising anew under his cruel dominion. For centuries, the living fought in vain, until the final battle at the Gates of Midnight. There, the last heroes of the age made their stand—not to win, but to seal Malakar away, binding him in chains of unbreakable shadow.
