Spore: How I defeated the Grox (with force on hard difficulty)

For the Grox cities near the Center of the Galaxy, terraform the planets until it's habitable with life and the Grox will die. When the shield is available to use, you can use it and bomb the city hall of the cities. For the Grox planets farther away from the center, a single bomb will take out a city. Also, the Grox worlds that are 99% water will always yield a single undeveloped Grox city that can be taken out with a bomb no matter where in the Galaxy it is. These are the best. Antimatter Bombs work too but the reload time is a bit long, they get used fast, and they are costly to replenish so I find terraforming to be more efficient.

Make sure to destroy the Grox ships that follow you out to space before leaving the planet as well. I usually use the Proton Missile and manually shoot the ships if there are 1 or 2 ships. I use antimatter missiles if there are 3 or more. Make sure to stock up on health and energy packs and occasionally drop colony packs on unihabited planets for quick access back to the Grox if they kill you.

Repeat and rinse for 5000 colonies!
