The method involves cutting part-depth groves lengthwise across the board to strategically weaken the board. From here it can either be clamped flat and then fitted to a sub-frame (which holds it flat, or fitted with small cross-wise butterflies, that are glued in, in order to hold the 'untwist' created through clamping.
