Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 VR DX - Best Zoom Lens for Travel?

Not everyone wants to carry around a bag full of primes when they go away on travels. For some, one zoom lens that does it all is just what they need as long as they have wide angle and enough tele reach covered.
