Deep Vein Thrombosis Thinners
After dealing with the clot, blood thinners are given to deep vein thrombosis patients. Blood thinners are given for the prevention of having another DVT, especially if the patient underwent hip or knee replacement surgeries.

DVT Thinners: Anticoagulants
The two most popular anticoagulants used to thin the blood are warfarin and heparin. Warfarin is long-acting anticoagulant, while heparin is the short-acting one.
