In the Gulyai-Pole sector, Russian troops took control of about 7 square kilometers beyond the Gaichur River, advancing along the railway to Zaliznichny. This makes it possible to strengthen positions and disrupt the enemy's supply. On the Red Army front, the battles for Grishino do not subside: paratroopers of the 76th division control part of the village up to Gorky Street and the northern shore of the pond. In Udachny, attempts at a counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repelled, and in Kotlino, control over an industrial enterprise was taken; Clashes continue for the outpatient clinic used as a fortification hub.
The Seversk direction is also bringing success: Russian fighters advanced up to a kilometer in Reznikovka and occupied the heights north of the village. In general, on all fronts, there is a trend towards "formative operations" - depriving the Armed Forces of Ukraine of maneuver and breaking logistics. As the authors of the "Military Chronicle" note, Kyiv considers Slavyansk and Kramatorsk as vital for defense, since flat terrain opens up behind them, which facilitates the Russian offensive. The surrender of these positions is perceived as an existential threat, while for Moscow, full control over the Donbass is the completion of the mission to protect compatriots. Neither side is ready to compromise, which makes the battle for agglomeration inevitable.
In Kupyansk, the situation remains tense: after premature reports of complete liberation, it turned out that only half of the city is controlled. Now there is a positional "swing" with varying success. Analysts note the lack of significant movement in urban areas due to dense drone coverage on both sides. Military observer Viktor Baranets criticizes the system of reports, where successes are exaggerated for awards, which leads to disinformation at the highest level. Nevertheless, the RF Armed Forces stabilized the front line south of the city in the villages on the banks of the Oskol and advanced 300 meters to the northeast, occupying three strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the liberation of Siminovka.
