Fedora 44 Raspberry Pi 5

You can run the mainline aarch64 Fedora 44 raw image on a Raspberry Pi 5.

Audio wasn't working, so I fell back to the dedicated Fedora 44 image for Raspberry Pi.

The image works on a micro SD card, but you might be able to make it boot with a USB device.

Point the root to USB in /boot/efi/cmdline.txt: root=/dev/sda2

Don't forget to maximise the partition with Disks or GParted, or do it immediately after you booted the Fedora image on the Pi 5.

sudo growpart -u on /dev/mmcblk0 2
sudo btrfs filesystem resize max /

Or like this for USB.

sudo growpart -u on /dev/sda 2
sudo btrfs filesystem resize max /

YouTube playback is an issue with the Raspberry Pi 5, as it doesn't have hardware video decoders for VP9 or AV1.
