SwkGDC Game Jam 2025 | Empowering Local Game Creators

The Sarawak Game Developers Community (SwkGDC) Game Jam 2025 brought together passionate game developers, students, and creators from across Malaysia for an exciting 48-hour game development challenge at TEGAS Digital Village in Kuching, Sarawak.

Organised with the support of Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and PlayStation Studios Malaysia, the event provided a platform for emerging talents to collaborate, innovate, and transform ideas into playable game prototypes within just 48 hours.

With the theme “Change”, participants formed teams and worked intensively with guidance from industry mentors to design and build original digital games. The event concluded with prototype presentations and judging sessions, where teams showcased their creativity and technical skills to a panel of industry experts.

Winning teams will have the opportunity to present their work at LEVEL UP KL 2025, Southeast Asia’s premier game developers conference, further opening doors for Sarawakian creators to connect with the regional games industry.

Events like SwkGDC Game Jam continue to nurture the next generation of game developers and strengthen Sarawak’s growing digital creative ecosystem.
