So I initially gave an estimate bid on this job, sight unseen. The guy told me it was mostly smaller scrub sort of stuff, maybe some bigger stuff but he really wasn't sure. So I tossed an estimated price at it, and he said yes, so we went to have a look. What a nice surprise! There is quite a bit of good timber here! So I came in an cleared it, and then negotiated a deal on timber that I'd like to harvest, and discounted that off of his clearing bill. I'm happy, and he's happy. That's a good deal!

The clearing was a bit tedious, but ultimately went pretty well. I had to open a space and shove all the debris to one side. I originally had not bid to burn it, but realized that I couldn't leave him with a mountain of debris to try and burn by himself. So I offered to burn it as long as I was doing logging work and still onsite anyway.
