Nir Barzilai, Scientific Director at the American Federation for Aging Research, presents at Investing in the Age of Longevity 2021. In his talk, Nir explains the potential of Metformin, a standard medication for diabetes, in guarding against many of the known mechanisms of aging. Expecting Metformin to act as a general-purpose geroprotector, Nir highlights TAME, a pioneering trial in the US that will serve to determine Metformin's ability to slow the aging process and extend healthspan.
