The Sumerian Object That Produces Electricity...And They Found 49 of Them in the Same Room

In 1936, workers excavating near Baghdad uncovered 49 ceramic jars assembled in a configuration identical to a galvanic cell — an outer insulator, a copper cylinder, an iron rod, sealed with bitumen. Replicas built by multiple institutions produce up to 1.1 volts of electrical current. One German museum used replicas to electroplate silver. 49 connected in series would produce up to 50 volts. Mainstream archaeology calls them storage containers. This video asks what they were storing that required 49 identical electrical devices in one room.
