COVID-19 update, June 29: India reports over 19,000 new cases for second day in a row

On June 29, India reported more than 19,000 new COVID-19 cases for the second day in a row. Eight states -- including Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu -- account for a majority of the infections. Hyderabad is the latest city looking to reimpose a complete lockdown. Guwahati and Chennai have already reinstated total shutdowns.
