Seeing Through The Fog: The Truth About Concussions: Katie Breedlove at TEDxPurdueU
The danger of concussions and how to prevent them have become major issues for all levels of football from peewee leagues to the NFL. As Katie Breedlove explains, we're still largely in the dark about what actually causes concussions, but thanks to new, innovative research we are on the verge of some much-needed answers.
Katie is a Ph.D. candidate in Health and Kinesiology at Purdue University and graduate researcher for the Purdue Neurotrauma Group, which examines the causes and prevention of mild traumatic brain injury. Katie has also been a member of the Purdue athletic training staff since July of 2009 and is a graduate assistant in the Division of Recreation Sports.
