World Leaders Meet at Pope’s Funeral | TVP World News

Hundreds of thousands of mourners gathered in Rome for the funeral service of Pope Francis. The Pope was buried according to his wishes, at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major.

In the context of Pope Francis's funeral, a unique opportunity arose for the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States to meet. After this conversation, Donald Trump expressed doubts about Russia's willingness to end the war in Ukraine. Following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump stated on social media that he fears Putin has been leading him around by the nose.

The funeral of Pope Francis was an opportunity for world leaders to discuss prospects for lasting peace in Ukraine. During the commemorations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron as well as British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Vatican.
