One of the main things I've learned as a previously non-Spanish speaker adult watching our 12-year old do SO well speaking is, it's really hard for adults to learn a second language! We have a guest: my 12- year old, Landon, sharing how he learned Spanish through his school in Madrid. I'll be sharing more about my personal language learning journey and we'll end talking about the The Great Blackout: El Gran Apagón, here in Spain on 28/04/2025 (my actual 40th birthday!)

*Me, my husband and our two boys ages 12 and 10 moved from South Carolina in the U.S. to Madrid, Spain. We did a one-month trial in Tenerife, Spain in July 2023 and loved it so much that we came back on visas for a gap year by September 2023.
