Undefeated Messy Plate Food Challenge in Rochester, New York!!

A&Z #776 - Atlas and Joel Hansen each vs Mr. Theo's 7lb Undefeated Messy Plate Challenge at Mr. Theo's Restaurant and Lounge in Rochester, New York. Hey everybody!! Back in August 2019, I was still on my 2019 summer tour traveling through upstate New York for four delicious food challenges. For challenge #2, I traveled to Rochester, New York and I met up with my Canadian friend Joel Hansen. We each took on the brand new and undefeated 7lb "Messy Plate" Challenge at Mr. Theo's which was so delicious!! Rochester is famous for the "Garbage Plate" which is a trademarked term, so other varieties have been established, with other names such as "messy plate." The platter featured 1.5lbs of potatoes and 1.5lbs of homemade macaroni salad topped with five 1/2 lb beef burgers. Those were each topped with American cheese slices, healthy onions, and Mr. Theo's meat sauce, and all that was served with a few big slices of baguette bread. BIG thanks Helen and her husband, the owners, and their staff for the wonderful food and hospitality, and to all the many people who came up to watch and meet us that evening. Mr. Theo's 7lb Undefeated Messy Plate Challenge in Rochester, NY ($40):

– There are five 1/2 lb beef burger patties topped with American cheese.
– Those are served over 1.5 lbs of country fried potatoes and 1.5 lbs of macaroni salad.
– All that is topped with delicious meat sauce and some diced onions.
– The meal is served with four giant slices of bread.
– The whole challenge weighs around 7 lbs and there is a 40 minute time limit.
– Winners receive the meal free and a sweet t-shirt!!
– You also get your name and photo posted up on their Wall of Fame!!
