These are the top 5 Things I Do to Prepare Myself to Full Time Travel in 2020 that you must know!

2020 has been a challenging year and it has nothing but pushed our limits and expanded our imaginations to figure out how we want to live life differently going forward. The year has made me realize I want to have more freedom to pursue my passion and things I like to do. In order to shape my life the way that I would like it to be, I have started working on 5 areas of my life. These are the 5 things that I have been working on and would like to share them with you in hopes of assisting those of you who may be feeling the same way as I am.

1. Building a platform or channel
While YouTube has not been a reliable solid source of income, through intensively working on it for the past few years, I was able to see the endless possibilities that it can offer. I see it as building your own brand and I believe it will create another avenue of possibility when it comes to working remotely and a step closer to becoming a digital nomad.

2. Working on your skills
The hurdle you need to overcome when it comes to becoming a digital nomad is you need to be able to provide value regardless of where you are. I think one of the main elements that takes a part in that is having a skill that is marketable and competitive. 2020 has provided me with opportunities to work on crafts and learn about video editing, which I see is something that will become more valuable later in my life.

3. Freelancing
To work on my skills, I have been working as a freelance editor on the side. Becoming a freelancer has never been easier with so many services on websites such as Upwork and Fiverr available to us to connect with clients all over the world. Freelance does not just help me make money on the side, but it simultaneously allows me to work on my crafts and build skills, which goes back to my point #2.

4. Investing
With commission free trading, popularity of trading stocks has never been so high aseptically among people in the younger generation. As I have worked in the financial industry before and been studying the stock market for the past decade, I can confidently say that while short-term investments are risky and have low success rate, if you are patient and willing to study for a long period of time, its a great way to potentially earn money from it. 2020 has given me more time to invest in the stock market more than before.

5. Cash Management
While making money is great, lowering expenses is also as important as growing your earnings as the money could be safely invested in long-term investments or business projects that could have higher yields. During the time of quarantine, I have been cooking at home more than ever, and I came across a fun little app that you can use to save money on groceries and other things. It's called Cash App and you should definitely take a look at it especially during pandemic.
