The x1 credit card was very popular when it first came out. Boasting of a stainless steel metal card, high limits and no credit check basically. There was such a hype because of a long waiting list, and I was just one of the lucky ones that was able to help the card early on, with a limit of $29,000. However, it is more of a charge card as you have to pay off balance when it is due or you pay high interest.
The news was, Robinhood acquired x1. Robinhood has various financial products that have become quite popular. And now, the x1 credit card is replaced by the Robinhood gold card.
Navy Federal Credit Union is known for using an internal credit score. Also known for giving high credit limits, the internal credit score determines an applicant’s creditworthiness and unsecured credit allowance. NFCU’s internal credit score is an enigma and no one really knows the criteria used to arrive at such. This video provides a perspective on how internal scoring systems are used by all lending institutions to qualify a borrower.
