Bothrops leucurus, bothrops alternatus - the URUTU, Bothrops moojeni, aka FER DE LANCE (by the people of south and central america where these MONSTERS live) ALL medically important venomous snakes that we breed for labs, consistently, the request and high demand for the venom, research and development from their venom, labs need healthy specimens for extractions, research, antivenom serum. AND they are definitely a HUGE part of our venomous snake collection and this is PART 2 of the VENOMOUS SNAKE COLLECTION TOUR. This literally could be a 5 part series, because we're still in the main room, and haven't gotten to all the species yet. Almost 35 species and well over 200+ (250ish?) with all the newest babies, this is going to be a venomous tour for weeks! Check out these beautiful but fierce REDLINE fer de lance, lancehead vipers, aka Bothrops. I have a MONSTER female breeder Bothrops leucurus, and today you get to see her boyfriend, a proven breeding pair and he is 1/3 her size... but size does not matter with bothrops - check out the aggressive venomous response of the bothrops alternatus! BUT the crotalus tzabcan juveniles - last years babies - give the bothrops a run for the money with aggression today! (Fer de Lance, Whitetail Lancehead viper - there are many common names, or slang names.) AND the GILA MONSTERs are in rare form - see just how aggressiev they can be - good thing its safety first and we have gloves on... the babies Gila Monsters are in RARE form.
