FEEDING AN OSTRICH IS SCARY. WE VISIT AN OSTRICH AND EMU FARM NEAR SOLVANG IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA .

Welcome to our visit to an ostrich and emu farm near Solvang in Southern California. Today, we're going to experience something that may be a bit scary - feeding an ostrich!

As we walk around the farm, you'll see that the ostriches and emus are quite large birds. They can grow up to 9 feet tall, and they weigh around 300 pounds. Despite their size, they are quite docile and are used to being around people.

We're going to be feeding the ostriches some strange pellets, and you'll see that they have a very long necks that they use to reach up and grab the food.

As we approach the ostriches, you'll notice their sharp beaks and claws. It's important to keep a safe distance and not to make sudden movements, as they can be defensive.

Once we start feeding them, you'll see how they open their beaks wide to receive the food and how they can eat a lot. It's a bit intimidating, but also quite fascinating.

The farm also have emus, which are similar in size to the ostriches, but have a different appearance, and they are not as aggressive as the ostriches. They are also very interesting animals to observe.
