Latest Newspoll results raise alarms within Qld Labor as One Nation sees surge in support

Labor and the Coalition are facing an uphill battle to win back support in Queensland as the latest polls show One Nation leading in the state.

An exclusive Newspoll quarterly analysis conducted for The Australian shows Pauline Hanson’s party leading Queensland’s primary vote at 30 per cent.

It’s raising alarms within ALP ranks about losing seats won at last year’s election, as Labor secured 27 per cent of the vote, which was still ahead of the Coalition at 23 per cent.

Labor is still well ahead in a national primary vote, having risen by one per cent to 32.

One Nation’s rapid growth has continued to stall after it dropped by one per cent to 25, although it still leads the Coalition, which also dropped by one per cent to 20.
