Wild Scarlet Macaws on the Osa Penninsula Costa Rica

During the Christmas period in 2007 I had the rare opportunity to film wild Scarlet Macaws in their native habitat in Costa Rica. The Macaws seemed to know when these palm fruits were just ripe enough for consumption. Within a few days they had stripped the tree of the entire lot. This is a beautiful location where one can hear the soothing Pacific Ocean in the background. One can also wake up to the calls of Toucans and Howler Monkeys. One of the most beautiful tropical locations on the planet.
