Australia ‘much more likely’ to have rate hike than a cut in 2024
UNSW Economist Professor Gigi Foster says it is “much more likely” Australia will have another cash rate hike rather than a rate cut by the end of the year.
Monthly inflation has risen to four per cent from 3.6 per cent.
“It could be even worse than the numbers are showing,” Ms Foster told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
