While rats can be considered as cute, you need to be aware that they do carry diseases, including leptospirosis, which causes multiple organ failure and if left untreated is potentially fatal to humans and animals. If you have dogs, please do not leave water outside for them, because rats urinate in the water and this is the way leptospirosis is spread.
A friend of ours lost her bull terrier to this disease and the vet said it was down to contaminated drinking water. Stay safe people and please like and share this video to raise awareness.
