WHY THIS AFRO-MEXICAN TOWN IS IN DANGER | Chacahua Oaxaca

Things are changing fast for this small Afro-mexican community on the coast of Mexico in the Oaxaca region.
The lagunas de Chacahua used to be a place of total abundance, where its inhabitants lived in symbiosis with nature, living simply off of fishery resources and tourism.

But the scarcity of their resources and foreigners buying their land to make their own business in Chacahua is pushing locals to despair as they realise the future generations might suffer the consequences of their inaction before it was too late.

Here is the moving testimony of this community who is now in danger and need to gather to find solutions for the future generations to come.
