Why Did Elisha Put Flour Into Poison 2 Kings 4 Was

"There is death in the pot!" That's what Elisha's disciples screamed in 2 Kings 4 — and the answer he gave makes no sense on the surface. Bring flour? How does flour neutralize poison?
It doesn't — not naturally. But that was never the point.
This wasn't just a miracle. It was a prophecy hidden in plain sight, written hundreds of years before the cross.
The poisonous vegetable represented the Law — the verdict over every human life: you are a sinner, you will die. The flour represented Grace — poured in to neutralize what the Law could never fix.
John 1:17 says it plainly: "The Law was given through Moses, but Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ." The Law showed us the way to hell. Jesus poured Grace over it and opened the way to heaven.
What was poison, Jesus turned into life.
