Today is a spa day for Mumma's hair... but in Desi style.

But shall I tell you the truth? It is not easy to live up to Mumma's expectations!

Last time I thought - let's apply organic Henna.

So I applied it too... but forgot that the colour of real Henna is orange.

And the result?

Mumma's hair... became orange-like!

Mumma said - 'I had come to do the hair right, I made a circus!'

And I was just quietly listening to her anger.

But that day I realized one thing –
Organic Henna is always orange in colour initially…
And that is the sign of it being real.

And then I decided – this time I will try the full recipe: Henna + Indigo.

First of all I made water for Henna,
In which I added – Fenugreek seeds, tea leaves, Arjun peel, cinnamon, curry leaves and amla.

Fenugreek – strengthens hair, reduces hair fall.
Tea leaves – deepens the colour of Henna, gives a natural tint.
Arjun peel – increases blood flow to the scalp, promotes hair growth.
Cinnamon – cleanses the scalp and helps in growing new hair.

Curd leaves – prevents premature graying, brings shine.

And Amla – powerhouse of Vitamin C, makes hair strong and shiny.

Boiled it well…

Then took Satthwa’s Organic Henna powder,
Added this herbal water to it…

Mixed the paste well and kept it for 7-8 hours.

Then applied it lovingly on mumma’s hair –
Covered every strand carefully.

After 2-3 hours washed the Henna with water only…
And now it was Indigo’s turn.

Indigo is simple – just make a paste with lukewarm water,
And wait for a while… till its colour turns deep greenish-blue.

After that, apply it on freshly applied henna hair.

At the time it looks a little blue-blue…
But the final colour that comes within 1-2 hours…
Uff – a very rich black-brown shade!

And the next day…

Looking at mummy’s hair, it felt like a salon has come to our home!

Soft, shiny, healthy colour…
And the best part – mummy is happy!

So friends, the lesson is simple –
Natural things take time, but they give results.

Just a little patience, real ingredients…

And the most important – love for mom.

And yes, one more thing…

Today’s box dyes contain chemicals – ammonia, PPD, and synthetic colours.

Which give short-term colour,

But damage the hair in the long-term – dryness, hair fall, premature greying… everything gets worse.

So when you choose something for mom…
