Oldest site we've ever metal detected in the United States! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!! The finds date back to the 1500's. Well, that's a lie. This site dates back MILLIONS of years. We've found fossils, Native American artifacts, and Coins for the 1500's, 1600's, 1700's, and 1800's! This place in unbelievable. You never know what you're going to find next! We return to this place which we found last summer. We had some boat trailer problems so we couldn't get back to the site we've been pounding this year. We decided to sift for Native American Artifacts, Fossils, and do a little metal detecting!
