ASX 200 to take ‘decent step backwards’ while US markets remain ‘under pressure’

CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski expects the ASX 200 to take a “decent step backwards” on Thursday morning, with futures indicating the market will be down about 1.2 per cent.

“US markets likewise have been under pressure, reflecting the general trend for the northern hemisphere’s stocks last night,” he told Sky News Australia.

Proctor and Gamble reported strong revenue numbers, boosting its stock by about 2.5 per cent.

Morgan Stanley is down about seven per cent after seeing a drop in investment banking revenues.
