Longueville House is a stunning 300 year old listed Georgian Country House hidden in the heart of a 400 acre wooded estate, in the Blackwater Valley, North Cork, situated at the gateway to the South West of Ireland.

It’s a place of history, yet Longueville has moved with the times. Maintaining and modernising the house and grounds has been a labour of love for William and Aisling, your hosts.

Half an hour from Cork City and Airport, steeped in history and packed with character, this privately Owner-Occupied property is run as a four star country house with exquisite dining. Interestingly the house also warmly welcomes Exclusive Hire small groups and corporates (accommodating 12 - 24 guests in the main house, and a grand total of 39 guests incorporating the Courtyard Mews next door). All guest bedrooms have ensuite/private bathrooms and there is ample, free WiFi throughout both houses.

Longueville House is a stunning 300-year-old listed Georgian Country House hidden in the heart of a 400-acre wooded estate, in the Blackwater Valley.

Half an hour from Cork City, steeped in history and packed with character, it is privately owner occupied and run as an Exclusive Hire Residence, accommodating groups from two to 30 guests for overnight stays. Ideal for family gatherings, corporate retreats, themed & special interest groups. It also operates in boutique accommodation mode for individuals escaping to the country for a couple of nights.

A home-from-home, classic but informal, where open log fires crackle in vintage hearths and intriguing heirlooms jostle with fresh flowers from the gardens.

This gorgeous house can accommodate groups of up to 18 guests. Should your party require more bedroom space it can accommodate up to 30 guests when required. The house is available as a B&B rental for short term lets with optional Half Board and Full Board Terms. Additional private in-house catering services are available and require booking at time of reservation when menus, guest numbers and other finer details are decided.

Adjacent to the historic manor house at the heart of the estate, surrounded by parkland, orchard, and vigorous gardens, lies the elegantly maintained ‘Courtyard Mews’. The epitome of stylish country living this 5-bedroom property known accommodates exclusive hire groups of up to 10 guests. Residence of the mews may pre book the private dining room on nights when Longueville House is open and subject to availability.

The estate guarantees privacy and utmost discretion for residents. Behind the secure gates of the estate, guests can enjoy private salmon and Brown Fishing on the River Blackwater, Falconry on the lawn, a range of Cross-Country Hikes, Orchard Tours, Garden Tours, Distillery Tours, Cider Tastings, Dawn Chorus Walks and October Mushroom Hunts.

For the gourmand, a field to fork ethos ensures the seasonal food produced within Longueville is lovingly prepared from scratch and cooked to order by your host and personal chef William O’Callaghan. The fact is that for over 35 years the O’Callaghan at Longueville House have been naturally aware and tuned into their immediate environment and their day-to-day impact on it. All vegetables, oriental greens, herbs and much of the summer and autumn fruit comes from the three-acre walled kitchen garden and poly-tunnels on the east side of the house, carefully toiled by gardeners. The restaurant and private dining spaces are reserved exclusively for resident guests of the house and dinner served at 7.30pm.
