Justice in a Georgia Courtroom: Three Men Convicted of Murdering Unarmed Jogger Ahmaud Arbery

Three white men - Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael and William Bryan Jr. - were convicted today by a Georgia jury of murdering an unarmed black man - Ahmaud Arbery - who was doing nothing more than jogging through their neighborhood. This video discusses why the defendant had absolutely no legitimate self-defense claim and why the jury got its verdicts right.

But although justice was done today, it's important to remember that the former Georgia District Attorney - Jackie Johnson - obstructed justice and abused her office and her authority by trying to prevent this case from ever going to trial. Johnson has been indicted and is now pending trial herself.

So we still have miles to go on the justice front. And hopefully, we will all keep the Arbery family in our thoughts this Thanksgiving as they will have one less plate the family table.
