Mitsuko Uchida: 2023-2024 Perspectives Artist | Carnegie Hall

In this second installment of her three-season Perspectives series, pianist Mitsuko Uchida showcases the supreme sensitivity, versatility, and gift for collaboration that make her one of today’s foremost interpreters. The series includes a pair of enlightening duo performances that explore the music of Schubert, including Winterreise with tenor Mark Padmore and an all-Schubert program with fellow pianist Jonathan Biss. Leading the Mahler Chamber Orchestra from the keyboard, Uchida performs Mozart piano concertos on a program that also features a piece by composer Jörg Widmann. In a long-awaited collaboration with the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, she performs Ravel’s virtuosic Piano Concerto in G Major.
