Which LCD is best? Negative or Standard?

Negative or 'Reverse' LCD displays are very popular across the digital watches on offer today, but are they better than the more traditional standard LCD?
I thought I would measure the actual viewing angles and find out which wins for legibility and clarity, and by how much.
