The Cinematographer - Ralph Woolsey, ASC | teaser

I started this project because of a dream what I had. Project “Cinematographer” is explanation what does it mean to be a cinematographer, why we choose this way, how our life looks like. We can talk for a month about lighting, felling, style etc. but how people's life who choose to be a cinematographer looks like? We were filming a great cinematographer Ralph Woolsey ASC, he was born 1st of January 1914 and today he’s 101 years old Cinematographer. We all got a chance to hear his unique story about how he became a cinematographer, his life experience, years of war when he was doing “commercials” for American military forces, how he got into Hollywood business, his point of view on lighting, new technologies and more. When we are coming on set, first what we are doing is making decisions same as when we first time take a movie-camera we make decisions to be cinematographers.
