Beaufighter attack on a German ship: WW2 pilot Steve Stevens DFC

Steve Stevens was a WW2 SAAF Beaufighter pilot. He served in SAAF 19 Squadron in Italy 1944-1945. He is now 95 years old.

Please see his tribute web page here: http://saafww2pilots.yolasite.com/steve-stevens.php

Steve was interviewed by my friend, Neil Pugh, in October 2014 at Steve's home in Worthing, England. Neil also produced this video.

Here Steve tells the story how a small section of four Beaufighters of their squadron went on a raid to a port in Yugoslavia and sunk a German minelayer ship with a rockets

Thanks to Steve for his kindness and willingness to be interviewed even as he was in bed and in pain. God bless you Steve!

Also thanks to his daughter Pamela for the communication and arrangements.

Thanks to Neil who did all the effort to professionally interview Steve and for producing this video.

Here a message from Steve:

"Without God in my life I very much doubt I would be alive today. The 91st Psalm means so much to me as my father and step-mother (my own mother died when I was 14) prayed that psalm of protection over my life every day while I was flying in World War II. I gave my life to my Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 14, a decision I have never regretted. If you have not done so, whatever your age, I invite you to ask Jesus Christ to become your Saviour and Lord too. His Holy Spirit will come and indwell you and lead and guide and protect you and give you His peace if you ask Him to."
