The Marbo Tso Site in Xizang named among China’s top 10 archaeological discoveries!
Recently,The Marbo Tso Site in Kangmar County, Xigaze City, Xizang, has been selected as one of China's top 10 archaeological discoveries for 2024.
Recognized as the highest-altitude, earliest-dated, and longest-continued Neolithic lakeside settlement yet discovered in the central-southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the site boasts an exceptionally clear cultural sequence and distinctive indigenous characteristics. Excavations have unearthed over a thousand artifacts, including stone tools, pottery, and other relics. (National Cultural Heritage Administration)
