"Targe" Scottish Shield Tutorial - Jacobite Costume Reenactment - Outlander Cosplay - Jamie Fraser

Tutorial for a Targe type Shield. Read the description !
Based on the Jacobite period, and the ones seen in the show "Outlander".
I show you how I made my hown targe with the base of a a 15mm plywood plank, several kind of leathers.

Cow hide for the outside, and the straps.
Goat hide for the lining inside, and the pad cover.

Always pattern everything !
-Plank and inner cover have the same pattern
-Think about the margin for the cover ! Enought to fold it on the back !

Use a little hammer for riveting
Use a plastic hammer for the brass nails

Always wear protective gear ! Masks, gloves and eye/face protection if needed !
