European Medicines Agency backs Celltrion's COVID-19 antibody treatment

South Korea's (Cell-tur-lee-on) Celltrion has received the greenlight from the European Medicines Agency for its antibody therapy... (rey-key-ro-na) "Regkirona".
They recommend the treatment for adults who do not require extra oxygen support, yet are still at high risk of severe illness.
The firm is now awaiting a decision from the European Commission for marketing authorization.
(rey-key-ro-na)"Regkirona" has been found to lead to fewer hospitalizations and deaths.
The drug is a monoclonal antibody treatment that attaches itself to the virus and mimics natural antibodies.
