Princess Diana's Rayne Red Leather Shoes and Rayne Two-Tone White and Red Leather Clutch on display in the Princess Diana's Elegance & Royal Collection at the Museum of Style Icons in Newbridge Silverware, Co. Kildare, Ireland, between the 4th and 17th of June 2024.

Following the exhibition, Julian's Auctions will sell the shoes and bag at an auction in Los Angeles, USA, on July 27, 2024.

Princess Diana was photographed holding the Rayne white and red leather envelope clutch on June 7, 1988, at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. Princess Diana was also seen with the bag on July 21, 1989, at The Royal College of Art in Cambridge on June 7, 1988, and on tour in Saudi Arabia at the Masmak Fort in Riyadh on November 16, 1986, and while visiting Nijo Castle, Kyoto, Japan,1986, May 9, 1986.

The Rayne is a white and red leather clutch with an envelope flap closure and a magnetic snap closure. It has a leather lining and an internal zip compartment at the back. The interior has a Rayne label with the HRH royal warrant.

Princess Diana was photographed with this clutch numerous times, pairing the clutch with her Red Bruce Oldfield Skirt Suit photographed June 7, 1988. Again, she used the clutch while attending a fashion show at The Royal College of Art in 1989. While on tour in Japan, Princess Diana was photographed with the clutch while trying on a hand-painted silk kimono worth 40,000 pounds at the time.

The pair of Rayne red leather heels with cap toes in the video belonged to Princess Diana. She was photographed wearing what appears to be these heels on October 28, 1989, at an RAF base in Withering, Cambridgeshire, and in September 1991 at Lahore airport in Pakistan.

The Rayne matte red leather shoes have low-stacked heels and feature cap toes with a perforated design. The interior soles are matte leather with a branded gold-tone stamp and royal crest.

The exterior soles are made of black leather and marked a size 8 1/2.  Princess Diana wore shoes and a red Catherine Walker double-breasted skirt suit designed to mirror an admiral uniform. 

Rayne is a luxury shoe manufacturer with a warrant from the crown, having supplied shoes and handbags to the royal household. Their designs are stamped "BY APPOINTMENT TO H.M. THE QUEEN HANDBAG MANUFACTERORS." Rayne was founded in 1885, supplying shoes for theatre companies and stage productions. In the 20th century, the brand designed lines of shoes for high society and leading ladies such as Vivien Leigh. In 1947, Queen Elizabeth II wore a pair of Rayne satin heels for her wedding, in 1950 granted Rayne a royal warrant as a shoe manufacturer.
