Engine FAILURE at 134mph 800hp AWD civic hatch crashes!!

A little backround for you guys, i had just finished up my car a few weeks prior to this. Had the car tuned by Co race tuning and it had made 650whp but we were having spark blow out, so i decided to hold off on installing the driveshaft until i installed a new ignition system. Fast forward 1 week i get the m&w pro14 ignition system installed and take the car back to the dyno where it made 877whp at 37psi on a precision 6466.After that we installed the driveshaft. Car ran great so we decided to take it to the roll race event the next day. Were in line about to run and my battery runs low and the car wouldnt start. Got it jumped and they let me jump in line where i was previously.

So i go to make the first hit runs great 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear but at the top of 4th gear the engine let go. First instinct is to get on the brakes, as soon as i do that the car is immediately sideways and heads towards the wall. hit the wall, car spins, rear of the car hits the wall. Ends up facing the right way in the middle of the track. Long story short i didnt suffer any injuries. Still the thought of why the engine failed was in my head. Same with the tuner. So we pull the log from the usb and everything looks spot on. Timing, fuel, boost all in line.

Fast forward 2 more weeks the tuner calls me and asks me if i remember melting down 2 engines in his car in a similar manner. I say yes, what did we do to fix it? He says when we put the m&w iginition system in my car we forgot to cut a wire on the harness to lock the timing to match the ecu timing. In short, when we were setting base timing everything looked normal,(at 1500 rpm) but when the car went up in the rev range the timing would drift and not stay in the same place. By the time the car was at 10000rpm there is no telling what the timing number was !! In short i wrecked my car, because i forgot to cut a single wire! Oh well, you live and you learn! Please read the instructions on anything you install! It could potentially save your life! I felt like i needed to add these findings to put a rest why the engine failed! Thanks for watching, many more builds to come!!
