Gold Room at HMNS

Inspired by the four nested gilded shrines in Tutankhamun’s burial chamber, every inch of the Gold Room’s walls are covered in gold-leafed, carved relief vignettes. It took our friend HMNS design lead @xs.kevin several months to draw all the hieroglyphs in CAD while closely working with Houston Museum of Natural Science resident Egyptologist. We then took his drawings and applied a grasshopper definition in order to add some organic imperfections resulting in a more hand made feel.
