While on vacation and visiting #fortaleza Brazil we strolled many times on the Biera Mar (beach shore) in the city. During each of our visits we would see "Dr Din Din" pushing his cart along the sidewalk, repeating his slogan to "Chupa" or "suck" in English his delicious fruit filled treats stuffed into small bags to suck on. I'm not Brazilian, but my wife is so I can only go on her memory of this popular and timeless treat Brazilian children enjoyed for many decades. It's actually called: Fruita Dindin (pronounced: Jing Jing as the "D" is sounded out like a "J"). Now I'll admit, Dr Din Din uses the technique of "Chupa" sucking his homemade (his wife makes them) tubes of fruit in a subtle sexual manner, it's really taken all in fun with easy going Brasileiros. "Chupa, chupa, chupa..."

Back to Dr Din Din... Anyway, during one of our strolls along this beautiful beach we happened to stop and visit with the good Dr. He was super friendly and even did a short video with us, like he does so many other people he encounters.

Come to find out, he's quite the celebrity in this city and has been interviewed by TV talk shows and attends many events. In fact, his life's story is very interesting and well worth learning and watching. Note: The language is Portuguese, so you'll need to know it or have an interpreter.
