MB1 is a very small spiral galaxy which is located approximately 10 milion light years away from Earth in constellation of Cassiopeia. It is a satellite of an elliptical galaxy Maffei 1.

Although MB1 is one of the closest galaxies to Earth, we don't know too much about it.

Yellow, eliptical galaxy visible behind galactic plane of MB1 is Maffei 1. Slightly to the right from it there is Maffei 2.
